MATT & NAT was born in Montreal in 1995 with a simple idea: create beautiful, functional fashion without using leather or animal-based materials.

Today, we design vegan handbags, backpacks, wallets, accessories and other everyday essentials with a focus on timeless design, functionality and material innovation.

Designed Without Leather

We have always been committed to creating products without leather or other animal-based materials. Instead, we explore a variety of vegan and innovative alternatives for our collections.

Exploring Better Materials

Material innovation has always been part of our journey. We use recycled and alternative materials across our collections, including recycled polyester, recycled nylon and other innovative materials.

Since 2007, our bag linings have been made from 100% recycled plastic bottles.
